Project Story
The design of the Qingdao West Station building is inspired by the surging waves in the sea, resembling layers of waves in its shape. It uses agile architectural curves to express the ocean city of Qingdao. The overall structure of Qingdao West Station from bottom to top consists of a subway section, an underground corridor, and an elevated station building. The station building is composed of three parts: the East Station Building, an elevated waiting room, and the West Station Building, which form a "T" shape from east to west and adopt a flow line pattern of top in and bottom out. The project has obtained a total of 12 patents and 4 construction methods. Among them, the "Calculation Theory of Equivalent Static Wind Load and Wind-induced Vibration Characteristics of Long Span Wave Surface Roof Space Structure", "Design and Analysis Method of Long Span Roof Stiffening Steel Reinforced (Steel Pipe) Concrete Frame Composite Structure System", "Rapid Improvement Construction Technology for Integrated Control of Long Span Pipe Truss, Large Angle Glass Curtain Wall, and Complex Arc Surface Aluminum Vertical Plate Ceiling Ladder" have reached international levels.
